About the Hotel
It is thought that the hotel was originally built in the eary 17th Century with much debate over the actual date, although records show an inventory dated 1601 that indicated a change of ownership that year. Throughout the years there have been numerous refurbishments and substantial rebuilds with its present appearance dating from the late 18th century.
Today the hotel has been expanded to offer all the modern amenities expected of a quality hotel, yet retaining alls its charm and character.
The hotel is situated with easy access to the A1, M1 and A57 and is opposite the towns market which is open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with a Farmers Market every other Friday.
